Deep into my next budget already. Lets take a ride in the way-back-time-machine and see how far the budget got me.
Most of the groceries money was converted into shopping. By shopping, I mean electronics. I bought an iPhone 6+ 128gb. It seemed like I needed one. I'm spending only $102 out-of-pocket. Here is how...
The budget is basically the income from trading time for money. There are other ways to transact without work. I sold an iPad 3 and an iPhone 5s. In addition to that I sold a kite, sleeping bag and tent. All told I scrounged up $642 then added the grocery money which Mrs. MBG said she didn't need.
So close to not needing to budget for rent. The home builder pushed the sale back about two weeks. Now we expect to move in mid-September. Therefore the budget got a bit more in the rent category.
Travel spending is buzzing along at $300/month. Although we are not traveling every month, we have a goal. We continue to save up for Australia in October 2016. By putting money toward the trip we will have no option but to travel when the time comes.
